1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Mirembe Hotel's website, services, or facilities ("Services"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

2. Hotel Services and Facilities

2.1 Accommodation

Mirembe Hotel provides accommodation services including room rentals, dining, and related hospitality services. All services are subject to availability and our operational policies.

2.2 Service Standards

We strive to provide high-quality services and maintain our facilities to industry standards. However, we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service without prior notice.

3. Reservations and Bookings

3.1 Booking Process

  • All reservations are subject to availability
  • A valid credit card or payment method is required to secure your reservation
  • Confirmation will be sent via email upon successful booking
  • Special requests are subject to availability and may incur additional charges

3.2 Check-in and Check-out

  • Standard check-in time: 3:00 PM
  • Standard check-out time: 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee
  • Valid government-issued photo identification required at check-in
  • Credit card authorization may be required for incidental charges

3.3 Age Requirements

Guests must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • Bank transfers
  • Mobile money (where available)

4.2 Pricing and Taxes

  • All prices are subject to applicable taxes and service charges
  • Rates may vary based on season, availability, and demand
  • Additional fees may apply for extra services, amenities, or late charges
  • Currency exchange rates may apply for international payments

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Standard Cancellation

  • Free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival
  • Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a one-night charge
  • No-shows will be charged the full reservation amount

5.2 Special Rate Cancellations

Promotional rates, group bookings, and special packages may have different cancellation terms, which will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

5.3 Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method.

6. Guest Conduct and Responsibilities

6.1 Expected Behavior

Guests are expected to:

  • Conduct themselves in a respectful manner toward staff and other guests
  • Comply with hotel policies and local laws
  • Respect hotel property and facilities
  • Maintain reasonable noise levels, especially during quiet hours (10 PM - 7 AM)

6.2 Prohibited Activities

  • Smoking in non-designated areas
  • Illegal activities or possession of illegal substances
  • Bringing unauthorized guests or exceeding occupancy limits
  • Pets (except service animals with proper documentation)
  • Excessive noise or disruptive behavior

6.3 Removal and Termination

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate stays, or remove guests who violate these terms without refund or compensation.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Hotel Liability

Mirembe Hotel's liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for:

  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
  • Injuries resulting from guest negligence or misconduct
  • Service interruptions due to circumstances beyond our control
  • Acts of nature, terrorism, or other force majeure events

7.2 Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for any damage to hotel property caused by their actions or negligence. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the guest's account.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Mirembe Hotel and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or modify our content without permission
  • Use our trademarks or logos without authorization
  • Create derivative works based on our content

10. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, strikes, or other force majeure events.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
